At The Music Initiative, we offer fun and engaging piano lessons in East Tilbury for all ages and skill levels. Our Piano lessons enable students to explore the fundamentals of piano playing, music theory, and creative expression. Our experienced tutors ensure you not only progress technically but also develop a deep appreciation for the instrument.
We provide quality music education led by experienced tutors who understand that each student is unique.
Our lessons are designed to be fun and to help personal growth.
Our small class lessons encourage collaboration along with the many benefits of ensemble experience, but with the progress typically expected from 1-2-1 lessons.
We believe that that everyone should be able to enjoy learning music
Confidence & self-esteem grows when children learn and play with others. Parents say that performing in class concerts every few weeks in our Junior Keys and Piano Keys courses has often been a game changer for their children
Groups create a momentum that is continually moving forward, carrying all members of the group forward together. It's therefore not surprising that our class students typically progress faster together. This group momentum also provides a natural motivation to practice
Research demonstrates that we learn as much from others as we do from a teacher, and we learn best when we feel relaxed and are having fun!
Ensemble Playing - the ability to play in time with others is an important skill that pianists can struggle with, specially if when taught traditionally
Playing Games - that accelerate and deepen learning is more fun with friends.
Singing - is the key to developing musical skills. Students find singing easier, less uncomfortable, more collaborative and fun with others.
As well as small class lessons, we also offer individual (private 1-2-1) lessons. Our individual lessons are suitable for students over 7 years*, and adult students who typically prefer a more private learning environment.
7 Years+, Teenagers, Adults
Standard Lesson : 30 minutes
Advanced Lesson : 45 - 60 minutes
*We recommend that beginners under 11 years of age, start with one of our small class programs. Research and experience shows that they progress quicker over the medium to long term while learning a full compliment of musical skills.
